SEATTLE, May 30 — Giantex Inc. is recalling about 1,155 outdoor lounge chairs sold online through Amazon.com and Giantex.com after one report that a consumer’s finger was amputated while adjusting the chair, federal regulators said.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission listed the recall date as May 28. The recalled product is the Giantex outdoor lounge chair, model number NP10025NY.

The Ontario, California-based distributor is offering consumers a full refund, according to the CPSC. The chairs were sold from August 2023 through October 2025 for $75 to $90.

The recall affects customers who bought the chairs online, including consumers in California’s High Desert and other areas served by Amazon.com and Giantex.com.

The CPSC said consumers can place their fingers in a pinch point while adjusting the chair, creating an amputation hazard. Consumers should stop using the recalled chairs immediately and contact Giantex, the agency said.

The recalled chairs are blue and measure 76 inches long, 23 inches wide and 13 inches high. They have a five-position adjustable locking system, with a backrest height that can be adjusted from 13.5 inches to 26.5 inches.

The model number is printed on the front and side of the product packaging, according to the CPSC.

Consumers will be instructed to request a prepaid return package or destroy the chair by detaching the headrest pillow, cutting the fabric and providing photographic proof of destruction, the agency said.

The chairs were manufactured in China, according to the recall notice. The CPSC listed the recall number as 26-512.

Giantex can be reached toll-free at 844-242-1885, by email at support@giantex.com, or through the recall information section on Giantex.com, according to the CPSC.
