HESPERIA, Calif., Sept. 29 (Our Hesperia) —Hesperia Lake Park reopened Saturday, Sept. 26, after an emergency-services closure during the Juniper Fire near Apple Valley, Hesperia Parks & Recreation announced.

The district had closed both the park and fishing while the fire burned. Its closure notice said the lake was being used as an emergency services headquarters and a source of water.

The park had fully reopened in June after earlier storm damage, the Hesperia Recreation and Park District announced at the time.

Hesperia Lake Park is at 7500 Arrowhead Lake Road. The district says admission is free, with fees for some activities.

Correction, Sept. 30, 2026: An earlier version of this story said Hesperia Parks & Recreation had not confirmed that Hesperia Lake Park reopened after the Juniper Fire closure. The district announced that the park reopened on Saturday, Sept. 26.
