UNION, SOUTH CAROLINA, June 25 (Nationwide Times) — A Wendy’s in Union, South Carolina, is at the center of allegations that three employees took food from the trash, spat on it and served it back to a customer who complained about a drive-thru order.

Fox News reported that Aaliyah Shuntai Sanders, Trinity Lashell Rice and Shadela Crystal Holley were charged with tampering with a human drug product or food item. Audacy, citing the Union Police Department, reported that the incident happened at the Wendy’s on North Duncan Bypass after a customer said she was unhappy with her meal and asked for it to be remade.

Audacy said Sanders and Rice were arrested, while the restaurant disciplined a third employee. Fox News reported that the three suspects were arrested separately between June 16 and June 22.

Fox News also reported that a manager said all three employees involved were written up.
