COLTON, Calif., July 8 (Inland Empire News Online) — Fiesta Village Family Fun Park in Colton is set to end public operations after more than 50 years, closing out a long run as one of Southern California’s familiar family entertainment spots.
Here’s what is known about the shutdown, the last weekend, and what may still remain on the property.
What are the final public days?
Fiesta Village’s hours page says the park’s final days open to the public will be Friday, July 10, and Saturday, July 11, 2026.
On the website, the park lists Friday hours from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday hours from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. The same page says Sunday, July 12, will be closed for a private event.
The park also says hours and attraction availability can change depending on weather, maintenance and business levels.
What will be open that weekend?
The park’s hours page lists a range of attractions for the closing weekend, including Dairy Queen, mini golf, the arcade, laser tag, go karts, batting cages, carnival rides and roller skating.
That makes the last weekend less about one single ride or show and more about the full mix of activities that helped define Fiesta Village as a local amusement destination.
Why is it closing?
Fiesta Village’s posted hours do not explain the reason for the closure.
The New York Post reported that owners Michelle O’Brien and Patrick O’Brien attributed the decision to dwindling visitor numbers and rising operating expenses. That explanation was not included in a standalone closure notice on the park’s website in the materials reviewed for this report.
What happens after the park closes?
People reported that Nickelodeon Pizza, an independently operated restaurant on the property, is expected to remain open after the amusement park shuts down. The report said it will continue doing business even after the park’s final day of public operation.
The park’s website does not spell out what will happen to the rest of the property after the closure. No sale, redevelopment plan or long-term site use was identified in the sources reviewed for this article.
Why does this matter locally?
Fiesta Village is based in Colton, California, and has long served families in the Inland Empire and the broader Southern California region. For local visitors, the closing marks the end of a longtime place for mini golf, arcade games, go-karts and other weekend outings.
For now, the key date is July 11, the last day the park says it will be open to the public before the private-event closure on July 12.
