VICTORVILLE, Calif., July 7 (High Desert News Online) — Victorville is moving its annual Fourth of July fireworks show to a new home this year: Hawk Stadium at Silverado High School. The city has branded the 2026 event as the “America’s 250th Anniversary Celebration and Concert Spectacular,” and says the night will include live entertainment, food vendors, giveaways and fireworks.
For years, Victorville promoted its holiday fireworks at the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds. A city event page for the older format listed the celebration there, and the San Bernardino County Fair also posted a 2025 Fourth of July festival at the fairgrounds tied to Victorville.
The city’s 2026 event page says the celebration is scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $2 per person and go on sale June 15. Parking opens at 5:30 p.m., stadium gates open at 6 p.m. and the event begins at 7 p.m. The city lists the venue as Silverado High School | Hawk Stadium at 14084 Cobalt Rd.
Victorville Public Information Officer Sue Jones said, “In celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary, we are trying something new this year and moving our fireworks show to Silverado High School.”
The change also comes with a reminder about safety rules in the city. A Victorville bulletin says fireworks are illegal in Victorville and that the $1,000 fine for illegal fireworks will be enforced.
The move matters because the fairgrounds have been a familiar Independence Day setting for the city’s celebration. The city’s older event page for the fairgrounds showed a different schedule, with gates opening at 4 p.m. and fireworks at 9 p.m. The shift to Hawk Stadium changes the event’s setting and is likely to affect how families plan for parking, arrival time and seating.
For residents looking ahead to the holiday, the basic message from the city is simple: the fireworks are staying, but the venue is changing.
